Privacy Policy

Short version: we use your story to write your song, we don’t publish it, we don’t sell it, and you can delete it whenever you want.
What we collect
Three things. (1) The story you type — the recipient’s first name, your relationship, the occasion, and your answers. (2) Your email address, once you ask us to record the song. (3) Ordinary technical data: IP address, browser, and which page you arrived from.
Why we collect it
The story is the input to your song; there is no way to write it without reading it. The email is how we send you the finished song and your receipt. The technical data is for security, fraud prevention, and knowing which pages are worth writing.
Who else sees it
Your story is sent to Anthropic (to write the lyrics) and the resulting lyrics are sent to Mureka (to record the song). Payments are handled by Stripe — we never see your card number. Hosting is on Vercel, data on Supabase, audio files on Cloudflare R2, and email through Resend. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Your song is private by default
Nothing you write is published. A song only becomes reachable by other people if you generate a share link yourself, and that link is a random 22-character address that cannot be guessed or searched — those pages carry a noindex tag and are excluded in robots.txt.
How long we keep it
Your songs and stories stay in your account until you delete them. Delete a song and its story, lyrics and audio go with it. Ask us to delete your account and everything goes within 30 days. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion, export, and objection — email hello@personalizeasong.com and we’ll action it within 30 days. If you’re in the EEA or UK, GDPR applies; if you’re in California, CCPA applies. You do not need to give a reason.
Cookies
We set a session cookie so you stay signed in, and a first-touch attribution cookie recording where you arrived from. If analytics are enabled, they are configured without cross-site tracking. No advertising cookies.
Children
This service is not for people under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has used it, email us and we’ll remove the data.
